      <description>A beautiful little corner of essex/suffolk crawling with tourists and me. &lt;br/&gt;A national trust coffee shop with luke warm coffee, from a thermos, and butter rich cake was supplemented with bird song and bright sun. &lt;br/&gt;A museum of constable’s work and paint palate to inspire the many older folk sitting in the sun drawing. What a brave endeavour to undertake with the throngs peering over their shoulder hoping to see a modern constable at work.&lt;br/&gt;All this an attempt to capture 18thC rural england, a bit of a side show really.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;This short journey was research for future work that is simmering and  always enjoying  ‘a day in the country’ and visiting new corners of the country it was ‘interesting’.&lt;br/&gt;Perhaps it is not the land but the open skies that interest me, the ever changing skyscape. With this thought I have all the sky i could wish for with the view west up the thames to london city from home in CW (the windiest corner of london). </description>

      <description>“Landscape painting, as it expresses the human heart, should also express the essence of the natural world. Because nature gives so much to man, we ...... must make its representation beautiful” Huang Binhong 1951&lt;br/&gt;Or as British artist, Chris Dury who discribes his work as “examining the “inner nature” of human consciousness and its relationship to the “outer nature” of the material world”.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;As I work towards a new series of drawings I am exploring the interrelationship between some chinese ink paitings and the suggestive nature of my b&amp;amp;w pixel drawings. While the practicalities of this may be difficult to imagine the text above is suggestive in some way of what I am working towards.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;On a more frivolous note, got myself onto facebook and am enjoying this new connection with ‘old friends’, and new.&lt;br/&gt;</description>

      <description>The moment I have been delaying, avoiding putting thoughts to the screen. So here goes. &lt;br/&gt;A balmy sunday evening in london. The light is not as above but heading to something interesting. The wide sky from the window presents an ever changing kaleidescope of colour and light. &lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Post exhibition I am back in the studio, to clean and ‘redecorate’, a spring clean before starting anew. And the new, a painting, perhaps a series, titled ‘in memory’. The difficulty is the greys. Those subtle hidden corners of a painting that provide the interest. Are they a metaphor for life, those tainted bits that add the interest?&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Friday went to a workshop on surface structures and made a great find; paper panels. The small things one gets excited about. A firm paper surface to work,  on and a structure, much like a stretcher for a canvas on which to hung the drawing. The result will be an easy viewing of near completed work, a way to answer that perpetual question ‘when is the work finished’? &lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;</description>
